This program offers workshops, individual coaching, childcare and advice within the framework of DFG research networks.

Through the numerous DFG-funded collaborative projects, considerable funds flow to the MHH every year in the form of equal opportunities allowances. By merging the equality grants (see DFG form 52.14 - 10/11) and creating a coordination office, a program with individual modules can be offered that benefits everyone.

We are happy to take up ideas and suggestions for concrete measures from female researchers and DFG spokespersons.

Background:

The DFG provides funding for gender equality, which can be applied for by the research networks in order to strengthen their activities in this area (cf. e.g. DFG form 60.09 - 5/10).

These funds are to be used to

•   increase the number of female researchers at the project management level
•   support young female scientists working in the research network in pursuing their scientific careers and
•  make the workplace in life sciences more family-friendly
