Plasmapheresis and Immunoadsorption Hybrid Symposium

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Dear colleagues,

Our traditional symposium on innovative extracorporeal procedures has found a new place in the annual calendar. With this symposium, we are opening our Department's numerous training courses in 2024.

This year, we want to focus in particular on three special extracorporeal procedures that are currently in the spotlight. First, we will look at lipid apheresis, a procedure that is also asserting its importance in the context of new pharmacological therapies. We will then move on to extracorporeal photopheresis, a procedure that has actually been known for a long time with proven indications and is currently opening up new, broader areas of application. Finally, we will look at immunoadsorption and its significance in various diseases, including the currently highly topical post-COVID syndrome.

We are delighted to have the German Society of Nephrology (DGfN) and the Board of Trustees for Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation (KfH) as patrons for this event.

We strive for a balanced presentation and discussion including clinical studies and experimental approaches. We hope to offer you a varied, practice-relevant program this year, which will provide you with suggestions and help for your daily routine.
