Scientific and medical progress thrives on the ideas and drive of excellent individuals. Hannover Medical School (MHH) therefore promotes talent early and sustainably. Over the past 20 years, the MHH has developed a continuous career pipeline that is geared to the needs of the respective career stages and is continuously being expanded.

All phases of a scientific career are addressed. With our offers to school students and high school graduates, we want to prepare the way for future scientists to enter biomedical research and development. With the establishment of the Voluntary Scientific Year (Freiwilliges Wissenschaftliches Jahr, FWJ) following school education, the MHH has created a successful innovative module that has already been imitated at other locations.

Under the umbrella of the Hannover Biomedical Research School (HBRS), we support students up to doctoral level in internationally recognized bachelor's, master's and MD/PhD programs in German and English.

Our numerous programs for physicians and postdocs who obtained a MD/PhD are not only aimed at talented young scientists, but also support scientists in later phases. They are centrally coordinated and continuously developed.
