Discover new worlds! The MHH invites you to an open day
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can touch and participate in medicine, research, studies and the MHH training professions.
Let's go to Hannover Medical School (MHH)! On Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., physicians, researchers and students will present medicine to touch, try out and participate in at the Open Day. Guests will be offered a varied program with more than 40 stands and numerous guided tours. Here are a few examples:
Career start at the MHH
Interested in a career at the MHH? As in previous years, the variety of training opportunities at MHH is a particular highlight. Guests will get an exciting first-hand insight into the different professional worlds from both experienced MHH colleagues and trainees.
The "Road of Cancer Medicine"
Another focus of the Open Day is oncology: from prevention and early detection to innovative cancer operations, the "Street of Cancer Medicine" will showcase the latest developments for many types of cancer. Guests can also get hands-on with hands-on activities, for example trying out robot-assisted surgery for themselves with the da Vinci surgical simulator.
Excellent research
Forays through the human body using VR glasses or the latest in infection medicine are offered by the "RESIST" Cluster of Excellence. The Cluster of Excellence "Hearing4all" presents the latest hearing research and how the ear functions well throughout life.
Every day for life
The experts from the Clinical Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine explain everything to do with operations and anaesthesia. Students want to raise awareness of resuscitation, especially among young people - they demonstrate how first aid works with practical exercises. Visitors can also experience what navigated surgery can do in trauma surgery, there is information and advice on organ donation, and experts from neurology, visceral surgery and dentistry are on hand to provide information about their field of medicine. And these are just a few excerpts from the program.
Guided tours
Once again this year, there will be guided tours of exciting areas of the MHH. Registration takes place directly at the respective stand, as long as there are enough places. If not indicated here, information about times or duration of the tour will also be available at the stand.
