In the case of hereditary diseases, the consultation will help you to clarify

  • whether the diseases that have occurred in your family have a hereditary cause
  • whether there is an increased likelihood of developing the disease yourself
  • whether and, if so, which early detection examinations or aftercare programs are suitable for you
  • whether there are risk-reducing measures regarding the development of a disease
  • whether other family members have an increased risk of developing the disease
  • whether genetic diagnostics can be carried out in your family and what options or consequences may arise from the results of the genetic diagnostics.

In our outpatient study clinic, patients have the opportunity to participate in new treatment procedures that have not yet been admitted everywhere for the routine treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The safety of the new treatment procedures is our top priority here. Therefore, patients who voluntarily participate in a study program benefit from particularly close and extensive medical monitoring as well as the possibility of regularly scheduled visits to our outpatient clinic.

In this special cardio consultation for patients with heart valve diseases, an initial decision is made on further treatment (surgical vs. interventional) in close cooperation between cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, taking into account the overall condition and concomitant diseases. The consultation is also used to explain modern treatment options for valve diseases to patients.
