Sonography working group

The scientific focus of the working group is on investigating the value of special diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound techniques in particular patient groups.

This includes studies on the use of ultrasound contrast agents in and outside the liver, the evaluation of different sonographic procedures for tissue characterization, the evaluation of sonographic criteria and new procedures for therapy monitoring of patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease. In addition, studies are carried out on the long-term course of sonography-guided interventions (e.g. cyst sclerotherapy, local ablative therapy). In addition to conducting our own scientific studies, we cooperate with various partners in and outside the Clinical Department.
