Library account
With your registration in our library, you get access to your library account, in which you can view and partly adjust
- your user data
- your borrowings
- your reservations
- your overdue fines
- your password
Your user number is the number on the back of your library card, the password is preset to your six-digit date of birth (DDMMYY). You have the option of changing the password yourself after logging in to your user account.
You will also need your access data for full access to our resources. For more information on accessing journals, see Access to e-ressources.
I forgot my password - what should I do?
By default, the password is assigned in the following form according to the date of birth: DDMMYY.
If the password has actually been changed - and then forgotten - please contact the lending desk:

How can I order a book from the closed stacks?
You can order media that are not in the publicly accessible area (closed stacks or library of the Department of Medical History). To do so, click on the link "Request" next to the shelf mark in the catalogue (OPAC).
The item will then be fetched for you and deposited at the lending desk for seven days.

The book I am looking for is on loan. How do reserve it?
Once you have found the book in the library catalogue (OPAC), click on the "Reserve" link next to the shelf mark or the note that the item is currently on loan.
As soon as the book reserved by you is returned, you will be informed and can pick it up at the lending desk within seven days.
