New Registration

Students

Your MHH student card is also your library card. You will find your user number on the back of the card. To activate your library card free of charge, please first complete the online registration form. Afterwards, you can register at the circulation desk by presenting your student ID card as well as your identity card (alternatively: your passport and a registration certificate from the registration office).

Employees

Please complete the online registration form. You can then register at the circulation desk by presenting your multi-card and identity card (alternatively: passport and registration certificate from the public order office). There, your library card will be issued to you for a one-time fee of 5 euros.

Doctoral Students

Have you not yet completed your doctorate that you have registered at the MHH and are you about to lose your student status? Please fill out the form for MHH doctoral candidates. Then send it to the following email address: information.bibliothek@mh-hannover.de. Alternatively, you can also hand in the completed form at the circulation desk. After your application has been successfully checked by the Doctoral Office, you will be given access to the e-resources from off campus.

HOBSY

HOBSY is the network of academic libraries and the Hanover City Library with the aim of improving the supply of literature in Hanover and facilitating the use of the libraries. One step on this direction is the standard user cardthat enables access to all libraries connected to the system. Many HOBSY libraries offer the cross-library return of literature as a service. You can return your borrowed literature from these libraries to another participating library. More information can be found here.
