The Clinical Department of Haematology, Haemostaseology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation is the central clinic at Hannover Medical School for patients with solid and systemic cancers, benign diseases of the haematopoietic system and coagulation disorders. In addition, all forms of cell and immunotherapy (including allogeneic stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy) are carried out in the Clinical Cell Therapy Unit of our Clinical Department at the MHH. The spectrum ranges from intensive therapy procedures such as cell and leukemia therapy to inpatient palliative care. On our website, we would like to give you an overview of patient care and scientific research within our Clinical Department.

Our aim is to guarantee optimal care at the highest medical level to all our patients with serious, often life-threatening illnesses. To this end, we offer the entire spectrum of possible services in our specialist field. This includes close interdisciplinary cooperation with other diagnostic and therapeutic disciplines at the MHH in the Oncology Center of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Lower Saxony (CCC-N, Hanover site) as well as with the general practitioners and specialists in the branch.

Our Clinical Department is involved in numerous national and international research networks and collaborations and conducts scientific studies in both experimental and clinical areas on topics relevant to our field. We are particularly interested in the qualified training and excellent continuing education of our students and physicians. We therefore communicate the latest developments in our specialist field in regular training events and consultations.
