Studies on inflammatory skin diseases

in the clinical study center for inflammatory skin diseases, the focus is on studies on atopic dermatitis and other eczema diseases as well as psoriasis. Depending on the study, an expense allowance may be reimbursed to participating patients for additional time spent.

Currently, patients can participate in the following studies, which are summarized here:

DUPINUM (nummular eczema):

  •     Histologically confirmed nummular eczema or clinical diagnosis.
  •     50% probability of dupilumab administration, 50% placebo
  •     16 weeks duration, visit every 2 weeks

Atopic Dermatitis (Neurodermatitis)

  • Registry study for patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis ("TREATgermany")
     
  • Eczema herpeticatum
    - Subjects with a current or possibly recurrent or previous severe herpesvirus disease including eczema herpeticatum in atopic dermatitis; Objective: Identification of new risk factors and possible new therapeutic targets in the DFG Cluster of Excellence RESIST
  • RELAD 2
    - Mild atopic dermatitis, investigation of new biomarkers
  •  ADCompanion
    - Health care research trial for patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis
    - Randomized controlled trial (1 year duration, visit every 6 months):
      50% probability of free use of digital education services via study app
      50% probability for standard care with optional face-to-face training on the clinical picture of "atopic dermatitis"
     
  • We regularly offer drug trials for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in our outpatient clinic. Prerequisite for participation: Inclusion and exclusion criteria are strictly defined in clinical trials, which is why we check individually at the start of a trial whether you meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Studies on contact allergies

  • DKG studies with subjects allergic to hair color or to tattoo dyes
