Outpatient care for adults with congenital heart defects has been provided by the Clinical Department of Cardiology and Angiology for many years. Together with colleagues from the Clinical Department of Paediatric Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine, adolescents are cared for in the transition consultation hours.

Advice is also given on school and vocational training, sports activities, disabilities, obtaining a driving license and fitness to fly.

Special expertise in the oncological therapy of esophageal and gastric cancer has been repeatedly certified by the DKG as an esophageal and gastric cancer center for our clinic.

The diagnosis and treatment of the entire spectrum of rheumatic-inflammatory (rheumatism) and autoimmune diseases, including severe organ manifestations and complications, is the focus of our outpatient care and patient support. For some diseases in children and adolescents, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is the only possible cure. In the KMT outpatient clinic, patients and their families are informed about this form of treatment and, if necessary, prepared for the transplant. Children and adolescents who are discharged from inpatient treatment after a transplant regularly come to the KMT outpatient clinic to receive competent care from the physicians they already know.
