Sabine Salloch ist Professorin für Ethik und Geschichte der Medizin und leitet seit 2020 das Institut für Ethik, Geschichte und Philosophie der Medizin der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover. Von 1999 bis 2007 absolvierte sie ein Doppelstudium der Medizin und der Philosophie an der Philipps-Universität Marburg. Sie promovierte 2006 zum Dr. med. mit einer Arbeit zur Medizingeschichte der Frühen Neuzeit und 2015 zum Dr. phil. mit einer Arbeit zur praktischen Urteilskraft und habilitierte sich 2017 im Fach „Ethik, Theorie und Geschichte der Medizin“. Im Anschluss an eine knapp zweijährige ärztliche Tätigkeit war sie von 2009 bis 2015 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Von 2016 bis 2020 leitete sie als Juniorprofessorin das Institut für Ethik und Geschichte der Medizin der Universitätsmedizin Greifswald. Sabine Salloch ist Mitglied im Vorstand der Zentralen Ethikkommission bei der Bundesärztekammer und stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Zentralen Ethik-Kommission für Stammzellenforschung. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich von Professionalität und Interprofessionalität im Gesundheitswesen, ethischer Fragen der Digitalisierung sowie der bioethischen Methodologie.
