Data Protection Regulations

applying to events organized by the FWT2 Office

In order to carry out its events, the Department for Research – Knowledge – Translation - Transfer (FWT2) of the Hannover Medical School stores personal data (last name, first name, organizational unit, institute, address, email and phone number) in electronic and written form. 

The data is collected solely for the purpose of ensuring that the event runs smoothly. 

Art. 6 Subpara. 1 Point b GDPR is the legal basis for the processing of data for the purpose of answering enquiries after consultations as well as for the purpose of advertising, managing, organizing and carrying out the event.

Art. 6 Subpara. 1 Point e GDPR in conjunction with § 3 S. 1 NDSG (Data Protection Regulation of Lower Saxony) is the legal basis for…

... the processing of data for the purpose of enabling networking between the event participants,

... sending out information material on event topics after the event,

... the processing of data for the purpose of carrying out future events and research activities,

... filming or photographing,

... carrying out evaluations and statistics.

Art. 6 Subpara. 1 Point a GDPR is the legal basis for the publication of your data in a list of participants.

In principle, the data you provided will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent. Exempt from this rule are organizations that are actively involved in the event. The data is disclosed on the condition that our cooperation partners are also bound by appropriate data protection regulations.

You may withdraw your consent and object to the publication of your data in a list of participants –  your participation in the event will not be affected thereby.  

You may also object  to the use of your data for the purposes mentioned above in full or in part at any time by sending an email declaring your objection to fwt2-qualifizierung@mh-hannover.de. Your data will then be deleted immediately.

We will delete your personal data as soon as they are no longer required for the purposes mentioned above, but not later than after expiration of the period of time prescribed by law.
