Inpatient treatment
Please report to the Central Patient Admission. Go through the main entrance (building K6), then take the first turning on the right. There, please take a waiting number, which will then be called up on one of the screens. The staff at the central patient admission department will create your hospital file. You will then take this to the Department responsible for you.

Contact the Clinical Department named in the referral to make an appointment (you can find a list of all clinics here). If "Emergency" is ticked on the referral, please contact the emergency department of the Clinical Department named in the referral or the nearest emergency department to you.

A transfer of patients can only be considered in medically justified cases. Please contact the attending physician of the respective Clinical Department. Medical colleagues should contact the office of the potentially admitting specialist clinic.
Please contact your health insurance company or the case manager on the ward in advance.
Please ask for the individual procedure of the respective Clinical Department during your examination.
As a rule, your attending physician will contact you by telephone after reviewing your results or you will receive a written appointment to discuss the results.
Outpatient treatment
A referral is usually required for outpatient treatment. The highly specialized outpatient clinics at the MHH have different requirements. Please ask directly when making an appointment or look at the pages of the specialist clinic responsible for you or contact the Patient Service Center.
You will usually receive a follow-up appointment on the day of treatment or your appointment will be listed in the physician's letter.
If this is not the case, please contact the outpatient clinic responsible for you to make an appointment.
You can reschedule your appointment by telephone or e-mail. Some specialist clinics offer the option of contacting them via the respective homepage using a contact form. Please check the homepage of the respective specialist clinic.

For organizational reasons, please contact the outpatient clinic treating you by telephone or contact the Patient Service Center.

If you have not yet been treated at the MHH, please contact your family physician first.
As a rule, you will only receive prescriptions if you have already been to the outpatient clinic for treatment in the current quarter. For follow-up prescriptions, please contact the relevant outpatient clinic by telephone or via the contact form of the respective specialist clinic.

Some outpatient clinics are not located in the Central Clinic, but in other buildings on the MHH campus.

Please understand that the outpatient clinics may be difficult to reach. Due to the very high volume of calls, it may take several attempts.
The outpatient clinic staff always endeavor to be available for all patients.
