Research projects and studies

Key points

Based on many years of experience in accident data collection and analysis, the MHH's traffic accident research department is a competent partner for research projects and studies relating to road safety. We work in an interdisciplinary team. If certain specialist areas cannot be covered by our own staff, we have a wide network of experts with whom we cooperate.

Our research focuses on the following areas

data collection

  • Additional individual variables to supplement the GIDAS survey at the accident scene
  • additional accident surveys
  • Observational studies (e.g. use of safety equipment)
  • Survey studies (e.g. with the help of online surveys)

Data analyses

  • Evaluation of GIDAS data
  • Evaluation of national traffic accident data
  • Evaluation of hospital data
