Given the strong interest in translational approaches using iPSC and iPSC-derived macrophages, the lab further explores the use of iPSC to gain new insights into the generation of macrophages. Applying the technique to generate blood cells continuously, the lab aims to elucidate the onset of macrophages and the underlying mechanism. In addition, this knowledge is directly transferred in vivo, in which various subsets of macrophages are studied for their regenerative potential.
