Cross-sectional area 13 - Palliative medicine
Influence of structured, written feedback on the content, quality and structure of the lecture series in the palliative medicine module
Background
The cross-sectional subject of palliative medicine (Q13) has been anchored in the medical licensing regulations since 2009. It offers every opportunity to teach the full range of care for people at the end of life during medical studies. The palliative medicine module at Hannover Medical School has been the responsibility of the Institute ofGeneral Medicine and Palliative Medicine since the 2018/19 academic year and has been reorganized in terms of content and structure.
Aims and procedure
This prospective study is intended to investigate the influence of structured, written feedback on the content, quality and structure of the lecture series in the palliative medicine module in the 5th year of study, which has been redesigned since the 2018/19 academic year. The lectures read in the module in the 2018/19 academic year will be evaluated using a standardized questionnaire, then sent to the lecturers in the form of written feedback and evaluated again in the following tertial.
Cooperation
The project is implemented in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Sandra Steffens from the Office of Academic Affairs (Curriculum Development) and in collaboration with Dr. Dr. Volker Paulmann from the Evaluation Office. The evaluations are carried out by our student working group member Mr. Vincent Lubbe.
