Interactive website "Grieving in special times" of the PallPan project
Grieving after the death of a loved one is also very restricted in many areas due to the pandemic: it is not always possible to say goodbye in person and funerals can often only take place in small groups. Communication with other people affected or with one's own social environment is severely restricted. Many people are additionally burdened by the lack of visiting opportunities in hospitals and care homes or other restrictions in the final phase of their loved one's life.
The interactive website "Grieving in special times" is intended to give mourners the opportunity to obtain information and assistance on dealing with grief during the pandemic, further support services and recommended reading. Above all, however, the website is intended to enable mourners to express their grief in a virtual mourning space and to experience through testimonials from other affected people that they are not alone in their situation. Self-tests are intended to help mourners to assess their psychological burden caused by the experience of grief. Even if you are not affected yourself, but would like to help a loved one during this time, there are suggestions and ideas on how to support others in their grief during the pandemic.
This grief website is part of the PallPan project ("Correct action in the care of the seriously ill and dying in times of pandemic " https://pallpan.de).
