The Women's Clinic says thank you!

Every year on May 5, midwives around the world are honored with International Midwives Day. Reason enough for Prof. Hillemanns, Director of the Clinical Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and his medical team to thank them personally with cake and flowers for their commitment and trusting cooperation.

Last year alone, the interdisciplinary team attended over 2,800 births and helped children into the world.

However, obstetrics also entails a great deal of responsibility and means being present around the clock, even during the coronavirus crisis. This great achievement is only possible with dedication, respect and appreciation.

The aim of this day is not only to draw attention to the indispensable work of midwives, but also to the tense situation of skilled workers.
