For the treatment of patients with temporomandibular joint disorders (craniomandibular dysfunction, CMD), we offer a special temporomandibular joint consultation in our Clinical Department.
The most common symptoms of craniomandibular dysfunction include pain in the area of the temporomandibular joints or masticatory muscles, restricted jaw mobility and temporomandibular joint noises. In the presence of craniomandibular dysfunction, the complex interaction of the various components of the masticatory system (temporomandibular joint, masticatory muscles, nerves, teeth with periodontium) is often impaired. Due to the complexity of CMD, diagnosis and treatment according to the highest scientific and professional standards and, if necessary, interdisciplinary cooperation are of great importance.
