Training Institute for Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Medicine (AVVM)
Further training for medical psychotherapy (psychotherapy - specialized) at the AVVM
Dear visitor, dear visitor,
Welcome to the website of the Training Institute for Medical Psychotherapy. We are delighted that you are considering further training as a medical psychotherapist ("psychotherapy - specialized") with a specialization in behavioural therapy.
On the following web pages we have listed the most important information about further training, the requirements, registration procedures, objectives and components of further training.
Head of the training center
| Prof. Dr. med. Kai G. Kahl | Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Bleich |
|---|---|
Specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy | FA Psychiatry and Psychotherapy |
All information at a glance
All further training content (theory, self-awareness, interactional case work (IFA), progressive muscle relaxation, psychotherapy, supervision) is offered from a single source.
The content of the training courses is coordinated. This gives you conceptual security and psychotherapeutic competence.
The training takes place on 8-9 weekends per year and lasts 2 years.
The "Psychotherapy - specialized" degree is therefore possible after 2 years.
Easy to plan and integrate into everyday practice or clinic work.
The costs for further training are partly covered by the participation in outpatient psychotherapy hours.
Your advantage: you don't have to piece anything together, you are thoroughly trained in a concept, have a transparent further training course and can plan well.
The aim of further training in specialist psychotherapy is to qualify for the independent and autonomous implementation of behavioral therapy and to prepare for the examination at the respective state medical association.
The content of the further training takes into account the requirements set out in the current version of the Medical Further Training Regulations (WBO).
After successfully completing the further training, you can register for the examination at the relevant state medical association with the issued "certificate of participation in further training events". The training institute will also issue a certificate of completion.
