In the Clinical Department of Dental Prosthetics and Biomedical Materials, assistant physicians can receive further training at the highest scientific and professional level. To this end, they are involved in patient treatment with fixed and removable dentures, including implant prosthetics and the treatment of CMD patients, right from the start. They are also involved in the clinical and pre-clinical courses for dental students.
Of course, there is the possibility of scientific work and a doctorate in the fields of dental prosthetics, materials science or biological issues. It is also possible to specialize as a qualified specialist in prosthetics from the German Society for Prosthetic Dentistry or as a specialist in functional diagnostics and therapy from the German Society for Functional Diagnostics and Therapy.
