The Photo and Media Department of the Clinical Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery documents findings before, during and after patient treatment. They are used to complete the treatment records, document the course of treatment, support therapy, prepare expert reports and are required for forensic reasons and quality assurance. Depending on the findings or the disease, various photographs, video recordings and 3D scans are taken. The images are required for planning purposes, particularly in the context of some consultation hours. We take our images internally in the photo studio, outpatient clinics, on the ward and in the operating theater.
If you have received an order for photo documentation, you will find us in building K20, level H0, room 1190.
Data Protection
All personal data is stored centrally in the hospital information system in accordance with the GDPR. Access to and viewing of the images is regulated by a rights management system so that only authorized practitioners can view the images and, like all other patient documents, they are protected from access by third parties.
You give your consent to the documentation in writing when you register at the Clinical Department before the start of treatment.
