Dear students of Human medicine,

We are delighted that you are interested in your elective course in the practical year or a clinical traineeship at our Clinical Department.

The practical year focuses on the practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired during your studies. In our Clinical Department, you will have the opportunity to get to know a very broad spectrum of mental illness treatment.

You can also take advantage of these insights during a clinical traineeship , which will play an important role in every aspect of your future medical practice.

Under the guidance and supervision of the ward physicians, you will be able to observe, support and carry out examinations and treatments according to your level of training. Since psychiatric work is particularly characterized by the relationship with your patients, we want to enable students in their practical year to provide independent patient care with fixed responsibilities under the guidance of the ward physicians. You will find a framework structure for this in the PJ logbook.

To consolidate what you have learned, weekly teaching units are held specifically for our students in their practical year, which are also aimed at interested clinical trainees. You can also take part in the weekly further training events.

The remuneration for PJ students is €812.00 per month.

Take the opportunity to enrich your training through a clinical traineeship or PJ tertial in our Clinical Department, and your involvement in our clinic will also enrich our medical work.
