Dr. Dagmar Hohmann completed her medical studies at the FU Berlin.

She completed her specialist training in pediatrics and adolescent medicine at the Children's Hospital of Hannover Medical School, which she completed in 2006 with the specialist examination. In addition to further training in pediatric cardiology, she gained many years of experience in pediatric intensive care medicine. She obtained the additional qualification in pediatric cardiology in 2009 and the additional qualification in intensive care medicine in the field of pediatric and adolescent medicine in 2011.

She completed her doctorate at the Free University of Berlin in 2003 ("Quantification of the gene expression of TNF, IL6 and IL2R in heart muscle biopsies from patients with inflammatory cardiomyopathy/myocarditis and their correlation with protein expression in serum").

Dr. Hohmann has been a senior physician in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine at the MHH since 2011 and a senior physician since 2016. Her special interests lie in the field of imaging in pediatric cardiology: echocardiography incl. 3D, cardio-MRI.
