Dr. Harald Köditz completed his medical studies in Hanover. In 1997, he began his pediatric training in Hildesheim, which he completed from 1999-2004 at the Children's Hospital of the Hannover Medical School. After an appointment at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London in 2004, he worked as a senior physician at the pediatric clinic of Hannover Medical School.

In 2008, he obtained the specialist qualification in pediatric cardiology and in 2009 in intensive care medicine in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Dr. Köditz has been authorized to provide further training in the field of intensive care in paediatric and adolescent medicine since 2012.

In addition to his work as a senior physician and mentor on the interdisciplinary pediatric intensive care unit, Dr. Harald Köditz focuses on the clinical care of critically ill children, adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease. He is also clinically and scientifically responsible for the Extracorporeal Organ Replacement Program at the Children's Hospital of the Medical School.

Dr. Harald Köditz worked as a senior staff physician for the Children's Hospital from 2008-2010 and has been in charge of the Department's patient data management system as a materials and equipment officer since 2012.
