Dear Colleagues!
Once again this year, we would like to cordially invite you to our
annual, practice-oriented continuing education course on “Current Diabetology”
on October 28, 2026. In response to your numerous requests
, we will once again be holding our joint event
entirely online this year.
Against the backdrop of new guidelines and
studies, Mr. Leitolf will present current recommendations for lipid therapy in people with
diabetes mellitus.
Mr. Terkamp will report on the highlights of the American and European
diabetes conferences, the ADA and EASD
, and discuss which scientific highlights—in addition to the new Type 1 and Type 2 guidelines
—might already be
relevant to clinical practice today or in the near future.
In addition to the many new developments in lipidology and the
treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, we are currently also seeing many
innovations that practically improve the lives of people with type
1 diabetes mellitus.
Prof. Ebert, senior physician at the Clinical Department of
Endocrinology, Nephrology, and Rheumatology at the
University Hospital of Leipzig, will discuss—based on recent new
study results—whether a “cure” for type
1 diabetes mellitus is most likely to be achieved through immunomodulation, technology
, or transplantation.
Dr. Stöckmann and Dr. Ohse, specialists in our Clinical Department,
, will also present two instructive patient case studies from
our outpatient clinic. Dr. Stöckmann will explain the treatment
of obese patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus
, and Dr. Ohse will provide current recommendations on lipid therapy for
people with diabetes mellitus.
