Dear Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Dialysis Update Hannover 2026 on June 12 and 13, 2026 at Hannover Medical School - once again as a hybrid event on site and online.
As in previous years, the event aims to create a forum for physicians, nurses and other medical professionals to discuss experiences, research results and the latest developments in the field of kidney disease and extracorporeal procedures. It is also important for us to shed light on the topic of reno-cardio-metabolic risk management in the various stages of chronic kidney disease. This year, we are focusing on chronic kidney disease and glomerular diseases as well as vasculitis and current issues relating to patient counseling in CKD.
An important focus is on dialysis planning - including the discussion of which form of therapy is appropriate in which situation, also taking into account the patient's perspective. We also look at current developments in dialysis practice, new guidelines, home hemodialysis concepts and innovative approaches "from the idea to the Clinical Department".
Finally, we look "Beyond Dialysis" at perspectives in nephrology, nephropathology and transplantation.
We would like to thank all contributors and look forward to exchanging ideas with you in Hanover or online.
Yours sincerely,
Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Kai M. Schmidt-Ott
Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Kribben
