Dear Colleagues,
we warmly welcome you to our kidney transplant conference this November 2026.
The year—which is no longer quite new—is already well underway, and our update on transplant figures may allow us to discuss certain trends.
In this event, the invited lecture will focus on the important topic of lipid management following kidney transplantation.
As you all know, practices that are standard for our patients with chronic kidney disease are sometimes questioned—and, in some cases, not consistently implemented—for our transplant recipients due to the available data or other circumstances. However, cardiovascular complications are disproportionately common among transplant recipients, and lipid management is a key pillar of treatment. This topic therefore cannot go unaddressed.
We are therefore very pleased to have the opportunity to discuss these issues with an expert in this field. To this end, we welcome Prof. Dr. med. Dr. sc. nat. Thimoteus Speer, Director of the Department of Nephrology at Frankfurt University Medical Center.
