While surgical removal remains the best
method for achieving complete tumor resection, it is usually not successful on its own. Therefore, it is essential to develop interdisciplinary treatment strategies that enable patients with cancer to achieve long-term survival
without significant side effects and with a good quality of life. This lecture will present the surgical aspects within an interdisciplinary context.
