Patients often experience the healthcare system as confusing, difficult to access, and not always oriented toward their own needs. While there are numerous reform proposals and legislative initiatives—what actually helps from the patient’s perspective?
This digital event series focuses on the question: How can we create a healthcare system that consistently aligns with patients’ needs? The focus is on orientation, equity, access, safety—and best practices.
Three concise online events, each featuring two presentations, will shed light on key challenges and potential solutions. Experts from research, healthcare, and consulting will discuss what patient-centered care means in practice.

Focus of the 3rd event: Patient safety, medical errors, patient rights

“Patient safety as a systemic task – What needs to change?” Dr. Christian Deindl, Aktionsbündnis Patientensicherheit e.V. (APS), Berlin
“Don’t leave patients with medical errors on their own. Need for reform in the enforcement of patient rights” Florian Schönberg, Sozialverband Deutschland (SoVD) Federal Association, Berlin

Open to the public.
