The Federal Ministry of Health and the health insurance companies—in collaboration with various Clinical Departments—have agreed on a model program
to improve prevention and care for children and adolescents with neurodermatitis and their parents. Based on the concept of the Neurodermatitis Training Working Group (AGNES) e.V. (
), training sessions are conducted nationwide in small groups according to an evaluated training concept:
(Information is available at www.neurodermitisschulung.de).
The training sessions are conducted in an interdisciplinary manner under the guidance of qualified physicians specializing in dermatology, pediatrics, psychotherapy, or psychosomatic medicine, as well as psychologists, educators, and nutritionists
and paediatric nurses. In terms of content, the training courses at
include, among other things, providing up-to-date background information on the condition and its treatment, teaching strategies for managing the condition and itching in everyday situations, and discussing
nutritional aspects in childhood and adolescence.
As a certified trainer, you can join an existing training team in your area or—in accordance with the AGNES quality criteria—establish an AGNES training team yourself*.
