The application form does not have to be completed by the proposer. However, if you fill out the form as a doctoral candidate, the application should of course be coordinated with the proposer in advance. You confirm that this is the case on the third page of the form as part of the data protection declaration.
The qualified letter of recommendation should usually be written by the doctoral supervisor and addressed to the Society of Friends of the MHH. The focus is on the doctoral thesis, and reference can also be made to other achievements of the doctoral candidate in connection with the thesis. The letter of recommendation should not exceed 2-3 A4 pages.
No. The letter of recommendation for the doctoral prize is intended to argue for your "prize-worthiness". Therefore, the Votum informativum submitted with the dissertation is out of the question.
Anyone applying for the doctoral award must also have been officially enrolled at the MHH for the duration of their doctorate. Unfortunately, this also applies if the doctoral thesis was written entirely in an MHH Department and supervised by MHH professors.
Yes, these structured doctoral programs are formally under the umbrella of the Hannover Biomedical Research School (HBRS), but conclude with a doctoral degree. Therefore, doctoral candidates from these programs can also apply for the doctoral award. However, doctoral candidates from the PhD programs of the HBRS are excluded from the application.
The personal data is stored and processed on the server of the MHH data center in accordance with data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR. They are not passed on to a third country or an international organization. Access to the data is granted to the Administrative Unit Fundraising of the MHH, the Board of the Gesellschaft der Freunde der MHH e. V. and the members of the selection committee. The data will be stored by the Gesellschaft der Freunde der MHH e. V. for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose. As a rule, this means that personal data is deleted or anonymized once the application process has been completed. Existing retention obligations and periods are observed. In the event of revocation, data provided via the application form will be deleted.
