In ENT medicine, outpatient procedures are possible in many cases. However, not all practices can provide the necessary infrastructure. We offer you our cooperation: Take advantage of our outpatient surgery expertise and capacity and recommend us to your patients. We have adapted our organization to this and, among other things, made it easier and quicker to arrange appointments. In particular, we would now like to implement this optimized structure in our cooperation with you as colleagues in private practice.
A key aspect of the reorganization is that a senior physician will look after your patients exclusively, maintain contact with you as colleagues in private practice and provide care in the ENT outpatient clinic together with an experienced surgical nurse and anaesthetist.

There are many special cases in ENT medicine that you, as an ENT physician in private practice, will probably only rarely encounter or have never encountered before. In this situation, we offer you our cooperation and support: Take advantage of our experience and capacity, which we have gathered in a large team as a university hospital. The CI site in Hanover consists of several components: the ENT Clinic of the Hannover Medical School (MHH), the German Hearing Centre Hanover (DHZ) of the MHH and the Cochlear Implant Centrum (CIC) "Wilhelm Hirte". However, close cooperation with supporters and therapists in their home countries is crucial for providing our patients with the best possible support in their daily efforts to hear and speak. Added to this is the equally close cooperation with self-help groups such as the HCIG, the Hanover Cochlear Implant Society. Since 1984, the motto of cochlear implant therapy in Hanover has therefore been: CI surgery requires a lifelong modular therapy concept.

Hearing aid or cochlear implant? The decision is no longer that simple. There is now a whole range of options for treating different types of hearing loss. It is precisely because of this extended range of indications that the responsible ENT physician adapts to all hearing disorders individually. Young children in particular need a speech-promoting atmosphere that cannot be provided by one center alone. The auditory early intervention specialists at the home location usually know the child very well and can discuss, plan and implement the daily routines and interventions together with the parents.

An individual therapy concept must be designed for each patient. This requires a complete audiological and radiological diagnosis. In the subsequent differentiated therapy planning, all options are also taken into consideration - from surgical therapy to hearing-impaired pedadogical and speech therapy The spectrum of therapy modules is high-quality, varied and offers an individual opportunity for each disease: we want to recognize and use this opportunity!

There is also a wide range of support and therapy options in the patient's home country. This offers very young patients and their parents in particular a secure basis for goal-oriented therapy together with colleagues in Hanover. We offer you close, individual cooperation with each patient. We are also interested in a joint exchange of experience. This would be possible in further training events in Hanover as well as in lectures at your support facilities. We would be happy to visit you and welcome you.
