HUB Annual General Meeting 2022 has taken place

On October 12, 2022, the HUB Annual General Meeting 2022 successfully took place with the theme "10 years of central biobanking at the MHH".

Prof. Dr. Thomas Illig reported on the current key figures of the HUB and the latest developments in biobanking at the anniversary general meeting of the Hannover Unified Biobank (HUB). The scientific director of the biobank also presented the NUM NAPKON project and reported on the activities in SAPCRIN and the NUM Biosample Core (NUKLEUS).

Dr. Norman Klopp's presentation afterwards included details on sample quality, study management at the HUB and current developments in the laboratory, storage and Logistics.

Dr. Markus Kersting, Head of IT at the HUB, reported on new developments in data management and IT at the HUB and MHH.

Dr. Verena Kopfnagel, project manager and deputy laboratory manager, reported on COVID-19 biobanking at the biobank and the MHH.

Quality Manager Inga Bernemann reported on the current status of HUB quality management and QM activities in NUM NAPKON.

Afterwards, the current challenges in biobanking in Clinical Department and science were discussed. There was also a guided tour of the biobank for all interested parties.
