The Hannover Unified Biobank is the first German biobank to receive the BBMRI-ERIC "Quality Label" (according to DIN EN ISO 20387).
The BBMRI-ERIC audit program supports all biobanks within the BBMRI-ERIC network in having their biobank management systems assessed against the criteria of the international biobank standard ISO 20387.
This assessment was carried out on site by qualified auditors from the national biobank network - German Biobank Node (GBN).
During the Europe Biobank Week 2025 in Bologna, the Biobank HUB will be officially awarded the BBMRI-ERIC Quality Label together with a certificate and a trophy.
