Medical researchers can now search a large pool of biosamples for relevant samples - this is made possible from a central location by the "Sample Locator" of the German Biobank Node (GBN). This is an online tool(samplelocator.bbmri.de) that researchers can use to search numerous academic biobanks in Germany for samples that meet their desired criteria.
