Thomas Illig is re-elected to the GBN Board of Directors

The German Biobank Alliance (GBA) has elected a new 12-member Steering Committee (SC) for the 2024-2025 term of office.

The SC regularly discusses the interests of the network and makes decisions on further development.

The following candidates were elected by the GBA's partner and observer biobanks

• Dr. Heidi Altmann (Dresden Integrated Liquid Biobank of BioBank Dresden),
• Dr. Gabriele Anton (Central Biobank of the University of Bielefeld),
• Dr. Ronny Baber (Leipzig Medical Biobank),
• Dr. Daniel Brucker (Interdisciplinary Biomaterial and Database Frankfurt),
• Prof. Dr. Roland Jahns (Interdisciplinary Biomaterial and Database Würzburg),
• PD Dr. Dr. Michael Kiehntopf (Integrated Biobank Jena),
• Dr. Romy Kirsten (Integrated Biobank Mannheim),
• Prof. Dr. Martin Lablans (German Cancer Research Center Heidelberg),
• Prof. Dr. Dr. Alexandra Nieters (Freeze Biobank Freiburg),
