Professional career

1994-2000 Internship in internal medicine (Düsseldorf University Hospital) and specialist training in psychiatry and psychiatry (Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim). Since 2001 health care and health systems research at Hannover Medical School (MHH) (2001-2007 and 2009 to date), the Universities of Leipzig (2007-2009) and Lüneburg (2010-2012). 2012-2015 Administrative Unit Science at the aQua-Institute Göttingen, development of quality assurance for mental illness.
Seconded National Expert at the European Commission, Luxembourg, Directorate General Health and Food Safety for the implementation of the European Action Plan for Mental Health and Wellbeing (2009/2010). Contract agent of the European Commission at the Joint Research Center, Ispra Italy 2015-2017 for the development of a quality assurance program for breast cancer care.
Since 06/2017 Deputy Head of Unit in the "Psychiatry" Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Equality of Lower Saxony.
Active as a reviewer for numerous journals and research funding programs.
