CardioLab
The CardioLab was created in order to establish an independent body for the evaluation of sectional image diagnostics of the heart. As an independent unit within the Department of Experimental Radiology, this laboratory can be used to evaluate central MRI data as part of national or international mono- and multicenter studies.
The range of services extends from pure data evaluation to training and quality control of the individual teams in the participating centers.
The CardioLab team has many years of experience in MRI and CT of the heart and covers the entire spectrum of clinically established procedures. This applies to the assessment of CHD diagnostics (vitality and ischemia), tumor/thrombus, cardiomyopathies and the spectrum of congenital heart diseases. Approximately 1000 cardiovascular MRI scans and 150 CT scans of the heart are performed at the MHH each year, which are analyzed by the CardioLab staff.
