Perfect equipment for clinical studies

The CRC Hannover is one of the largest clinical research centers in Europe that is not directly part of a hospital and is unique in Germany. The three-storey building offers 6000 square meters of space for clinical studies, patient-oriented research and epidemiological studies. The unique infrastructure of the CRC Hannover is shared by three leading research institutions: Fraunhofer ITEM, Hannover Medical School (MHH) and the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research (HZI).

In the CRC Hannover, each of the three partners contributes expertise in its own specialist field. This enables close cooperation between experts who jointly use state-of-the-art rooms, services and medical equipment. An integral part of the research center is an imaging center, which the Hannover Medical School operates at the CRC. Here, imaging biomarkers are developed, tested and applied in clinical studies.

With our efforts to jointly advance medical research, we are well on our way to becoming one of the leading centers for patient-oriented and translational medicine in Europe.
