At the Institute for Infection Immunology at the Center for Experimental and Clinical Infection Research, Twincore, about 25 employees under the supervision of Prof. Tim Sparwasser are currently working on issues of immunological infection research. The scientific focus is on the development of new, improved vaccination strategies and treatment methods against infectious diseases. In this field, the institute successfully cooperates with a large number of national and international cooperation partners. Through collaborations and research networks such as SFBs, clinical research groups and so-called "twinning projects", which are to enable translational approaches to immunotherapy and diagnostics, the institute is also very well integrated into the Hannover location.
