Student Representative Council for Master's Degree Programs in Biosciences

The Biosciences Student Council is made up of students on the M. Sc. Biomedicine (BM), M. Sc. Biochemistry (BCM) and M. Sc. Biomedical Data Science Master's degree programs at Hannover Medical School (MHH). As the former Biomedicine Department Student Council, founded on 01.12.2015, it merged with the M. Sc. Biochemistry Department Student Council and founded a joint departmental council on 19.10.2018 and has existed in its current form since 06.10.2021.

We organize a summer barbecue and a Christmas party for our students every year, as well as a few games evenings. We also help to network students from the universities in Hannover (MHH, LUH, TiHo) and organize career information evenings. There are various events for First Semester students. Last but not least, we are there to mediate between students and lecturers in the event of difficulties. We also represent the interests of our Master's degree programmes in student representative bodies, such as the Student Parliament (StuPa) or the General Student Parliament (AStA).

Once a year, the Student Representative Council is elected by the students of the three Master's degree programs. At the constituent meeting, the head of the student council is then elected and individual areas of responsibility (finance, events, networking, etc.) are allocated. We are happy to welcome new members and invite students who would like to volunteer to join us at any time.
