Qualification objectives

Students complete a 3-week internship in one of the subject areas listed below on their own initiative. To teach basic relationships and their application to the chosen subject area.

Competences

Students apply their theoretical and practical skills in the field of biomedical data science in the form of a research question. Participants deepen their methodological foundations and their self-organization, as well as their ability to work in a team. They expand their knowledge of independent scientific and experimental work and are able to compare different methods for solving a problem and select the appropriate one. Students are able to evaluate the results obtained and present them in a professional manner.

Specialized and in-depth knowledge and skills within one of the following subject areas:

• Medical microbiology
• Gene expression
• Omics technologies (proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, glycomics, genomics)
• Imaging techniques
• Electron Microscopy
