After the application deadline, a knowledge test will take place at the MHH at the end of July as part of the admission procedure.
All students who have applied and, according to the decisions of the admissions committee, have a prospect of a place on the course will be invited separately.
In 2026, the knowledge test will take place on Wednesday, July 22 . Please note that the knowledge test can neither be taken online nor made up for. Participation in the test on site at the MHH is therefore mandatory for all applicants on the specified date.
The 90-minute test (multiple choice on a laptop) tests basic skills required for the Master's degree program in Biomedicine.
The results will be used as an additional criterion for admission (see admission regulations). The purpose of the test is to provide all applicants with a standardized indicator for the very different grading standards between the various study programmes. Only basic knowledge is tested in order to take into account the very different contents of the applicants' Bachelor's study programmes. We continue to encourage Bachelor's graduates from as wide a range of bioscience study programmes as possible to apply.
For the application phase for the winter semester 2026/27 , there will be an online information event for all prospective students in mid-May 2026, in which the general structure and content of the study programs will be explained and the application procedure will be explained.
After the application deadline, another online information event will be held in advance for applicants invited to the knowledge test. This will provide you with detailed information about the study programmes (module presentations) and you will have the opportunity to clarify any open questions. This information event will take place in mid/end July 2026 . Suitable applicants will receive the link to this event together with all details in the invitation to the knowledge test, which will be sent by email.
