Omics techniques, biostatistics and bioinformatics (BM P 8)
Qualification objectives
The module provides basic methodological, bioinformatic and biostatistical knowledge for planning, evaluating and interpreting experiments in the fields of Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics and Glycomics.
Competencies
After successfully completing the module, students will be able to
- Know and understand OMICS techniques;
- plan OMICS experiments independently and take into account important design aspects of the experiments;
- Evaluate, interpret and assess the generated data using basic biostatistical methods;
- use bioinformatics and statistical programs, interpret the results and draw conclusions.
