Patient information of the day clinic

The day clinic is a central point of contact for patients with gastrointestinal tumors. Patients can register here for the diagnosis of suspicious symptoms, for treatment, for follow-up care and to obtain a second opinion. We will arrange all necessary diagnostic measures immediately and, once all findings are available, discuss each case on an interdisciplinary basis with specialist colleagues and at tumor conferences and draw up a treatment recommendation.

Chemotherapy is carried out directly in our day clinic. For interventional and surgical diagnostics and therapy, patients are referred to the relevant cooperating specialist department. Our Central Emergency Room and an emergency admission ward are available for the immediate treatment of emergencies:

For special gastroenterological issues, the internal medicine duty nurse can inform the emergency duty nurse from the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endocrinology or a member of staff from the gastroenterology-oncology outpatient clinic.
