Dr. med. Andrea Schneider - Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Andrea Schneider has been a specialist in internal medicine and senior physician at the Clinical Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endocrinology at Hannover Medical School since 2001.

Dr. Schneider worked for several years as a junior physician in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit 14 at Hannover Medical School and holds additional qualifications in intensive care medicine and emergency medicine. Since 2001, she has been a member of the team of senior physicians in Intensive Care Unit 14 and takes on senior physician functions for gastroenterology wards as well as for the functional areas of endoscopy and sonography. Dr. Schneider performs diagnostic and interventional endoscopies as well as endoscopic sonographies. In this function, Dr. Schneider also supports the paediatric endoscopy and paediatric surgery team and is the gastroenterological partner of the transition consultation.

Dr. Schneider has been certified in nutritional medicine since 2004 and heads the Department of Nutritional Medicine at Hannover Medical School. In addition to clinical and outpatient nutrition therapy, including the implementation of clinical studies, her responsibilities also include the obesity program "Leichter durchs Leben" and teaching at the School for Dietary Assistants.
