Dr. med. Urs Mücke - Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Urs Mücke has been working at the Centre for Paediatrics since January 2016. After studying Human Medicine at Hannover Medical School, he completed the structured training curriculum ("Common Trunk") at the Centre for Paediatrics with rotations in several specialist departments, neonatal intensive care and paediatric sonography. After completing his specialist training, Dr. Mücke is now completing further specialist training in paediatric haematology and oncology.

 

Dr. Mücke has been a lecturer in the Department since 2020 and is involved in digital teaching and learning concepts. In addition to courses in the curricular teaching of Human medicine, he also designs elective subjects (including Pedagotchi; www.Pedagotchi.de) and interdisciplinary lectures. For didactic training and further education, he completed the certified didactics program "Active in Teaching (AidL)" (200 hours) after the basic teaching course, which resulted in several projects to improve the Practical Year (PJ). Dr. Mücke and his team have been supervising PJ students at the Center for Paediatrics since 2017. He has received several teaching awards for his work in education and training.

Dr. Mücke completed his doctorate in Prof. Lorenz Grigull's working group on improving the diagnosis of rare diseases using the example of congenital immunodeficiencies with the help of artificial intelligence and pattern recognition in structured questionnaires. The doctoral thesis was awarded a doctoral prize by the Werner G. Gehring Foundation and published internationally (Mücke et al, Front Immunol. 2017).

To improve safety in pediatric oncology (SICKO) for patients and staff, Dr. Mücke organizes training events in the SICKO working group(www.sicko-mhh.de) under the direction of Petra Tiroke and accompanies multidisciplinary workshops as a speaker.
