General ward

Ward 48

Neurological normal ward

Ward 48 is a normal neurological ward. In addition to general neurological issues, the ward is looked after by several specialized teams. The neuroimmunology team focuses on treating patients with inflammatory neurological diseases. These include multiple sclerosis, autoimmune encephalitis, myasthenia gravis, inflammatory neuropathies and infections of the nervous system. Another focus is on movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, including atypical Parkinson's syndromes (complex therapy with intensive physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy possible) or tremor syndromes.

Patients are admitted electively by appointment or as an emergency via the Central Emergency Room. Patients are seen by a physician every day. The examination results and treatment options are discussed. Senior consultant visits take place twice a week.
